About Gina

I fell in love with fitness after my first son and an additional 80 pounds. I quit Corporate America after my second son and pursued my dreams and became a Cooper Certified Personal Trainer in the summer of 2014. I built my business, Personal Changes Training, around the idea that workouts should be fun and educational and should be what you enjoy doing and what you need to be doing. I am also certified in Nutrition, Wellness Coaching, Silver Sneakers and I am a certified Functional Aging Specialist. I have trained all types of clients from ages 12-86 with different disabilities, goals, and workouts. I make working out fun and challenging.

My favorite client story

Every client is my favorite and every one of their stories are unique and awesome. If I have to pick I am most proud of my 14 year old client who was about 20 pounds overweight when we first started working out. A year later she has lost that weight, gained some serious muscle, and is now trying out for her school's basketball team and plans to pursue fitness as her career.

My favorite exercise

I love all exercise, especially functional training like compound movements with weights. Water Aerobics is also a big favorite, low impact but high calorie burn workout I love to do.

My favorite quote

"What you eat in private shows up in public"
" Nothing taste as good as being healthy feels"
"The burn you feel now is the strength you feel later"
"What does not challenge you, does not change you"

My training philosophy

It should be hard but safe and fun but challenging.

My training experience

I became certified in May and launched my business in July of 2014. I started with Boot Camps, Mommy and Me Workouts, and of course Personal Training. My favorite by far is one on one training. Where I can develop personal relationships and really make a difference in someones life. I have recently started teaching Silver Sneaker group fitness classes and Personal Training at the Allen Rec Centers.

I have worked with many trainers in the past & Regina is the best!!! She makes working out fun. She makes you feel like you are her only client. She personalizes each routine for me & is always “changing things up” so I never get bored. I would highly recommend her!

I highly recommend Gina Roberts as a personal trainer! She is like a ray of sunshine! Her enthusiasm, passion, and true commitment to her clients make it so much fun to work out! She gets me going when I am way less than motivated ! It is so evident that Gina truly cares about her clients.

I have been working with Gina Roberts for over 3 years every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. She has literally changed my life and my body. She tailors my workout to what I need and what might be going on with my body at the time. I’m 68 and have had issues with my knees and shoulders so we work around those issues and work on those issues. We also do a variety of exercise from yoga to weights to water aerobics and on. And we have so much fun doing our workouts!
