About Amy

Amy fell in love with strength training during her high school Volleyball team’s off-season, where they were introduced to the weight room. She loved the way that strength training made her feel strong and powerful. She felt more confident, empowered and started to see her body for what it could do, rather than what it looked like.

With a passion for health and fitness, it was natural that Amy got certified to be a personal trainer in her senior year of college while pursuing her pre-med degree. She loved introducing her fellow college women to the weight room, where it was 95% male (read: frat bro) dominated. She loved helping them feel comfortable, not intimidated and confident enough to return to the weight room on their own. She has been coaching clients for 7 years and lives for getting her clients stronger, healthier and more confident. Her favorite part of coaching clients is seeing the way that building strength and confidence in the weight room oozes out into other areas of her client’s life.

Amy is really nice. She looks like Barbie and is always smiling (I mention this because the first time I met her I was skeptical--not expecting her to be so hard core....do not be fooled, her workouts will kill you)--she's kind of an expert at designing workouts that don't sound or look painful but are actually INSANELY CHALLENGING. She also has a really good sense of humor about things so I always feel good after training with her.

Amy was my favorite personal trainer and group instructor at CTF in Chicago. She was very creative, I always felt like an athlete when I was in her classes. She knew the exact things I was looking for in my PT sessions and a lot of the exercises I was able to do at home with little to no equipment. She is always upbeat and fun to work with. I learned a lot about proper stretching from her mobility classes. I highly recommend her for personal training and group classes.

I loved taking classes with Amy. She always pushed me to work a little harder without making me feel like I wasn't good enough. I found myself PR'ing in her class more than once. Amy knows what she's doing. On top of that, she's always working on improving herself as well, which is super impressive and inspiring as one of her students. She really lives by what she teaches, and you'll see that if you decide to train with her.

Amy always creates a safe space for us to push ourselves and test our limits. I hit THREE PRs today thanks to her encouragement!

Amy does a great job finding new and creative ways to keep you challenged.

Amy has been informative, kind and encouraging in our sessions, despite my lack of experience with weightlifting (and exercise in general). I highly value her insights and her knowledge which inform my sessions- and I feel like I am truly getting a tailored experience to achieve my fitness goals.
