About Kristopher

Whether a little or a lot, you could use some help with your fitness, health, and nutrition. That’s what all these great trainers and coaches on FYT are here for.

How do you know which one to hire?

That’s up to you but I can tell you why you would or would not want to hire me.

Let's start with why you wouldn’t want to hire me.

  1. You're an athlete, model, or person who has it all together but are looking for a small boost to be elite.

  2. You’re looking for a drill sergeant to make you do burpees till you puke.

  3. You want a trainer with a bubbly personality that is packed full of high fives to give you for everything you do.

The three points above describe most of my industry.

Most trainers are athletes who have spent a lifetime developing the skills they need to have the body and athleticism they possess. They usually get into the industry to work with people similar to themselves. Most people who hire trainers though don’t have similar backgrounds or goals and this becomes a tension point in the relationship and affects the quality of the coaching.

Two, anyone can beat you up but can they make you better? Ask anyone and they’ll tell you that going to extremes is ineffective in the long run but then they turn around and do workouts that leave them on the floor half dead. Changing your body requires hard work, but more than that it requires smart work.

Finally, it's important in a coaching relationship that your personalities match. Many people do better with a coach that’s bubbly and always excited. Some would rather their coach be more reserved and thoughtful. I’m definitely the second one and you should know that when making your choice.

With that in mind, who should hire me?

  1. Regular people who want to get in better shape and stay in better shape.

  2. Older people who are trying to keep their fitness in line with their busy schedules

  3. People who are really struggling and need guidance.

  4. People who are ready to give up on themselves because the thought of trying to improve is just too daunting.

I like to work with real people who are just trying to make their lives and health better. That can span from people with hundreds of pounds to lose who just feel like its hopeless for them to people getting up in their years who just want to stay moving and feeling good.

Kris is an excellent trainer. I’ve been working with him for over 5 years! He takes a holistic approach paying as much attention to my mental state and nutritional health as he does to my physical well-being. Kris pushes me but takes special care to focus on form in order to reduce the chance of injury. Today I am stronger and more flexible than I have been in years. I owe that to Kris.

Erik A.

I began working with Kris 3 years ago and I continue to learn and be impressed. Before working with Kris I’d spent the several years running but avoiding strength training due to past injuries. Kris has shown me that strength training can be done without injury, and in fact, many of the pains I thought were a normal part of lifting weights are now gone. Since working with Kris, not only am I stronger and more confident but my balance is better, I’m more flexible, and I’m a faster runner and swimmer. Now at 49 years old I’m having fun training not just with weights and cardio equipment but with body weight, gymnastics rings, and kettlebells; I'm doing movements and exercises I never thought I'd be able to do.
