If you are looking for amazing results and a positive atmosphere you have come to the right place! My name is Michael Katz and as long as I can remember, I have always had 2 huge passions in my life:     


1. Sports and Fitness


2. Helping others           


I feel so fortunate to be able to combine these 2 passions when I am with my clients. The 2 categories of clientele I find especially rewarding are Back Pain and Senior Fitness. I myself suffered a sports injury in my back and am extremely knowledgeable on what works and what doesn't to decrease pain. Having experienced it first hand, I can empathize with how you feel and am motivated to improve your quality of life. My mother began a nonprofit organization to help Senior Citizens and I have been engrossed in assisting in that area ever since. Furthermore, seeing my grandmother struggle with Parkinson's, I learned at an early age the extreme importance of staying active. On the other end of the spectrum I love sport specific exercise programming as well as high intensity exercise. Pushing my clients further than they thought possible in their sport or on their fitness path is extremely rewarding.  Whether your goal is sports performance, weight loss, injury recovery, or strength building, I hope to help you achieve your goals!


 


Michael Katz is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council of Exercise. A native of the Philadelphia area, he earned a Masters in Health Science Education at Hofstra University in Long Island NY. Before starting his Golf Fitness Venture he previously served as Head Exercise Specialist at U.S Fitness and the Director of Personal Training / Master Fitness Coach at Purlife Delray. Michael holds an exercise nutrition certification through industry leader, Precision Nutrition. On the Fitness side, his methodologies are based on transferable skills and include specialty certifications in Kettlebell Athletics, ViPR, TRX, Orthopedic Exercise and Functional Movement Systems, a screen designed to identify compensatory movements patterns to reduce the risk of injury. Michael, being a licensed school teacher in the field of health has also authored several articles about overall well being including; "Get Back in Shape", "Just Add Water". He is the creator of the 2 month wellness program "60 for 60" and "Flex Your MS Muscle", a group fitness fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis.


Michael opened up an Orthopedic exercise & Sports Performance facility in Bucks County PA that has already recieved several awards and recognition. He recently launched 2 new gym membership spaces in the area that offer 24 hour access to professional instruction and he also is the Director of Education for the first systemized approach to balance training, InBalance.

My training philosophy

My philosophy is based on balance. Not just balance in the traditional sense, although I do work on balance extensively with my clients. Balance being, finding what areas are lacking, whether it's stability, strength, mobility, nutrition or other and helping each client close the gap on those areas. Balance also refers to the degree in which you pursue your goals. As an example, if you eliminate all your social interactions because fear of "unhealthy" activities, that's certainly not going to bode well for your mental health. We need balance in our lives

Literally changed my world. Three years ago, I had chronic back issues, herniated discs, digestive issues, depression and a weak core due to multiple abdominal surgeries. After three months training with Mike, I had no pain, lost 13 pounds, tightened my core and was happy and healthy with a new outlook on life. I worked with Mike seasonally for 4 years. Mike's knowledge about nutrition,anatomy,health and getting results quickly are a tribute to his determination, his Masters Degree in Health Science and his innovative approach to training. I am 75 years old and have been working with Mike for a few weeks. I have already noticed an improvement in my balance and strength. After my initial evaluation, I was immediately aware that Mike knows more about how my body works than I ever will ! The exercises he has me doing are specifically designed to address my weaknesses, although I have been working out for several years. Just this morning, on the Tennis court, I was told that I am much quicker and more alert and hitting the ball better. I never thought I would happily go to the gym several times a week but it seems to be paying off with Mikes help!

Michael takes the time to understand your pain points, and where to improve. I played a lot of golf and baseball growing up, and had shoulder surgery in my early 20's. Now my shoulder gives me a fair amount of pain after I play a round of golf, so I decided to go see Mad Fitness. We talked about the issues I've been having, and ran some diagnostics. After a few short sessions, Mike created a program which I'm using and I'm already feeling less pain and tightness. If you experience sports related pain, or just want to figure out how to improve your golf fitness, Mike's program is great.

I go to MAD fitness for weight training but would trust mike with help for any kind of exercise in or out of the gym for every type of person whatever their needs are. I told mike exactly what I was looking to get out of training and he follows through with all of it. Mike is able to explain difficult movements into easy to understand ways that you can use on your own as well as answer all of my questions that I have about exercise or diet. No workout is the same and he challenges you really hard so you get the most out of each workout where you will also have access to equipment you can't use in most gyms like cables with air pressure resistance
