Valerie is an outstanding master of what she does, incredibly bright, with years of fitness knowledge, an expert in all fields of the fitness world. Furthermore, she has a warm, spontaneous personality that makes workouts fun. Val is the real deal in the industry of health and fitness industry and is the standard by which any trainer should be measured. Most of all, she is passionate about fitness, and it shows through the energy and enthusiasm she brings to everything she does. Lastly, Val makes each workout challenging, creative, but most importantly, fun.

I needed accountability and guidance to become healthier after the birth of my second child. I started with Valerie in January 2020, before the pandemic. I started with twice-a-week sessions and, after COVID restrictions were lifted and we were able to continue training, upped to three times a week. Why? Trainign with Valerie is the only exercise I've stuck with as an adult. Valerie always arrives upbeat and excited, and her energy and enthusiasm usually rub off on me, and I leave my sessions happy and exhausted. As a plus-size person, I was concerned about how a trainer would react to me. Valerie is unconditionally supportive and encouraging while holding me accountable and pushing me. While I don't think she self-labels as a HAES (health at every size) trainer, she checks off all the components in her interactions with me and her overall philosophy: weight inclusivity, health enhancement, respectful care, eating for well-being, and life-enhancing movement. Her goal is for me to feel healthy and move my body in ways I enjoy to help meet that goal. This summer, I asked if we could do some pool workouts, and she designed a whole water aerobics program for me. If we try an exercise and I don't like it for whatever reason, she will come up with another exercise that hits the same muscles. In addition to getting a. good workout in, we laugh a lot. She's just fun to be around, which makes the more challenging exercises go by quicker (most of the time)! I highly recommend Valerie to anyone looking for a high-quality, well-trained, engaging personal trainer.

Surprisingly Impressed. Had my first session with Val. I was very suspicious of the service and didn't really think I'd benefit. The first day I have to say I was surprisingly impressed. Val was professional, knowledgeable and definitely took the time to make sure she knew my goals. I'm actually looking forward to my transition into better health! Thanks FYT!
